Plan High School with Wyoming in mind.

These official resources cover different education arrangements. Homeschool guidance applies when your family chooses that route; it does not establish how PLA enrollment is classified in your state.

Distinguish the learning arrangement

Wyoming’s homeschool guidance distinguishes private school, public school, and a home-based educational program. Its home-based definition includes instruction provided by a parent, guardian, or a person they designate.

Homeschooling
Plan a progressive curriculum

The guidance describes a sequential curriculum covering reading, writing, mathematics, civics, history, literature, and science. It also notes the change removing curriculum submission to the local district, making older submission checklists worth rechecking.

Homeschooling
Discuss future course goals

The page points high school families to a Hathaway Scholarship advisor for eligibility planning. Use the dedicated scholarship resource for that question; PLA tuition or coursework should not be assumed to meet its conditions.

Your High School planning checklist

  • Which prior course records and proposed subjects should we review with the intended receiving school or next-step institution in Wyoming?
  • Who can confirm any credit, completion or diploma expectations in writing? Assignment feedback alone does not establish credit transfer or a diploma pathway.
Questions for your Wyoming education pathway
  • Are we choosing a private online school or instructional support within a home based educational program?
  • For high school planning, which course descriptions, credits, and future college documentation should we confirm before choosing a schedule?

This guide helps with planning. It does not confirm PLA enrollment availability, state approval, accreditation or public funding. Check the education arrangement and applicable responsibilities for your family before changing schools.
